Welcome home, Thrive Exchange South!
May 27th, 2026, marked a historic milestone for South Shore and Chicago’s 7th Ward as we officially welcomed residents into Thrive Exchange South - the first new multi-family housing development built in the ward in more than 50 years. Thrive Exchange South is redefining what affordable housing means. As the first installment of $100 Million investment at the 79th and Exchange intersection, Thrive Exchange South reflects what is possible when communities are intentionally invested in, supported, and empowered.
